Prints from the Utita archives show a company that was already active in the early 1900s as a manufacturer of machinery for the agricultural and weaving industries.
In the 1930s and 1940s Utita specialised in manufacturing automatic machine tools for the production of arms. These were the years of the merger with BPD. Utita began to manufacture lathes, milling machines, vertical drilling machines, edge banding machines and centering machines, and designing automatic processing systems: innovative technology for those times.
